GigTales
Welcome to GigTales!

I am a professional musician & over the years of performing on the road & recording in the studio, I have heard my fair share of hilarious stories from countless musicians. I felt that it was time to open the "stage" to all musicians to hear their stories & photos.

We also have a section dedicated to the worst album covers ever created. Soon we're adding a video section to our site for those priceless caught-on-tape moments.

If you would like to submit a story, photo, album cover, or video, please see our submissions page. We review everything that we receive so please be patient. We are members of Sonicbidsâ„¢ & stories can be submitted there as well. On with the Show!

Something's Missing... Whisky a-No-Go

2013-11-07 12:52:11 EST

Our debut U.S. tour consisted of many twists and turns, and being three young dudes from Melbourne, Australia, place like D.C, NYC and L.A, blew our minds. We came underprepared, under-financed, but with plenty of beer money. We were scheduled to play the Whisky A Go-Go on our last night in L.A. for our tour. With no instruments, we decided to call for emergency help. We hurriedly rang around to some other bands, and were able to secure a bass and some drums. We thought they were playing that night as well. Turns out they were playing elsewhere, at another gig, on the other coast of the U.S. I had called the venue in NYC. Muso mistake's 101.
